  1. Lock parent pies to Outline

    Lock a parent title and pie in place on an outline, so that when all completed sibling tasks in it a hidden or deleted, parent remains for next weeks tasks to be added.

    I know you can use the return and make a non-task, but then all children and siblings are also created as non tasks and is a pain.

  2. ...hire a young web designer with style.

    I don't mean this to sound condescending or snide! Yes, I'm talking about surfaces – 'look' is superficial. But my gut reaction to your esthetics is negative – and I don't think that's good for your fine product. Your web graphics remind me of early 20th office software. It turns off young people. Have a look at some youthful iOS apps, or Squarespace sites.

  4. Allow The Web Version To Be Resizeable (adjust the CSS?)

    Even on a large web desktop screen, we're stuck on 526 (or is it 800px) width. I tried fiddling the CSS to achieve this and couldn't. It would be optimal if it will resize to fill the entire window port available. Thanks!

  5. Alow for Outliner to include pictures.

    Outliner would be much more useful if I could add or link pictures to an outline or element within Outliner.

  7. add attachment

    Hello,
    I hope you could allow adding an attachment.
    Could be photo or PDF, etc.
    As some outlines just require an image to better describe the item.

  8. Ability to lock Move Mode on.

    I use Carbon Fin as a To-Do list. The ability to change the order/priority of items by dragging/moving them is essential. Having to toggle Move Mode on & off to accomplish this key functionality is inefficient/annoying.

    Ability to drag between outlines including moving a whole outline to inside another outline. I use CarbonFin for a master to-do list. I use outlines as categories such as “Work,” “Home,” “Weekend,” “Tonight,” and “Urgent.” Sometimes I’ll need to move items between outlines/categories including even a whole outline to inside another.

  10. Make the menu bar configurable

    I realize that different people use the app in different ways. For me, Copy and Paste are basic so it’s a nuisance to have to access them through the ... menu. So how about a preference pane to let the user select which buttons to include in the top menu, up to the available space (so the user would rank them in order of priority). In full screen mode I see a lot of empty space on that menu line. Any button bumped by limited space would be switched to the ... menu.

  12. Automatic backup within the app.

    Data loss is one of my biggest fears. I would love to see the app have an automatic backup capability to include having the choice of how many backups to maintain. (for example 1-5 backups). I would be willing to pay an in-app purchase for this capability on the iPad. Thanks

    Nutze Outline schon seit Jahren
    Hätte jetzt gerne noch einen iCoud Sync mit der dazu passenden OS X native App. DMit die Daten nicht alle verstreut rumliegen.

  15. BE able to duplicate outlines so that I can use them as templates

    I would like to be able to duplicate an outline in order to use it as a template. I don't see it doable for now. thanks!

  16. Make a “dark theme” on paid iPhone App

    Hi, thanks for created carbonfin outline app, I used on my iPhone everyday.

    Because I use too much, the app white background become too bright to my eye, my eye feel hurt often.

    Cloud you add “Dark Theme” to iPhone paid app?

  17. Select item and a Popup menu appears with top items - select top item that you want to move the item to appear under.

    This would make moving items in big outline easier to move —rather than only using the drag and drop feature. Just select “the top” item you want any item to appear as a sub item and then it’s moved there.

    Not a request. Just a note of thanks. I rely on your outlined for many tasks in my life and have for more years than I care to remember. You keep it updated, keep it working with the latest system and maintain it so that whenever I need it, be for a shopping list or to outline the teaching plan for a day or just to brainstorm and idea its there to help.

  20. hierarchical zoom

    Outliner allows hierarchical zooming, i.e. zooming into a zoomed item. But there is no stepwise way back. If you close an item you get to the top level instead of the level containing the zoomed item.
