  1. auto save in browser version

    If you are not planning to build a native mac version, please implement an auto-save option for the browser version. Withouth the auto-save option it is useless to me. I forget to save, which causes my iphone app and the browser version to be out of sync

  2. Protect

    Add a radio button to options, or modify Archive, to protect an outline from being inadvertently deleted. This happened to me when I was trying to deconflict a file on my iPad with one on my iPhone. I inadvertently swiped a similarly named outline and the sync process deleted it instantly on both devices with no way for me to undo that deletion. I lost an outline representing the entirety of my work in the month of June! With a protect mode, it would at least give me a question for verification.

  3. Please don't ruin it with a bazillion features.

    A lot of posts here are asking for add'l features ("like programX has"). Please don't ruin this simple, efficient app with the same pile of features every other outline/task program has. If I wanted all the crap in programX, I would be using programX. I use CarbonFin Outline because it's simple and flexible. I'm not here to do GTD.

    Don't get me wrong, there are features that could improve functionality. Just please be judicious and make sure we can turn off features we don't want.

  4. Widen the editing area in Outliner Online

    I want you to wider the width of the editing area.
    I want you to variable to match the width of the web browser viewing.

    Add "tag" functionality to the online version and make sure that syncs with my iPhone.

  6. Allow Dropbox to be set as the default storage for new lists

    So the storage location defaults to Dropbox.

  7. Add keyboard shortcuts in Outliner Online

    I would like to have keyboard shortcuts for reordering items, indenting items, etc.
    Checkvist is quite good at this.

  9. BE able to duplicate outlines so that I can use them as templates

    I would like to be able to duplicate an outline in order to use it as a template. I don't see it doable for now. thanks!

  10. Add "Copy To" and "Move To" features for all Tasks

    Add "Copy To" and "Move To" features for all Tasks. This will let users duplicate, reuse, or recylce lists easily. Additonally, sometimes you want to move a Task (and it's subtasks) from one List to another.

    Search / Finde in Outliner Online
    I also use Outliner Online a lot on my desktop, what I realy mis is a search/find function in the Online version, would be great.
    Ctrl-F browser function doesn't work unless all's expanded, but then one has no overview on the outline

  13. Quick Note Entry

    Please add ability to quickly add a note to a task line. Through gesture, keyboard shortcut or dedicated icon. Having to press four times makes it a tedious process.

  14. have setting to choose default for new outlines, task on/off

    Currently, new outlines default to having the task tick box. Mostly I use outlines for planning and don't want that but when importing an existing outline from my Mac it defaults to on and has to be changed, line by line, manually.

    Ability to drag between outlines including moving a whole outline to inside another outline. I use CarbonFin for a master to-do list. I use outlines as categories such as “Work,” “Home,” “Weekend,” “Tonight,” and “Urgent.” Sometimes I’ll need to move items between outlines/categories including even a whole outline to inside another.

  16. Reduce line height when "small font" is selected

    As it is now reducing font size ("small font") doesn't reduce line height. This is not terribly useful.

    With "small font" also line height should be reduced (and accordingly the size of the triangle and checkbox).

  17. Export and import to/from Markdown-formatted plaintext

    Export/import to/from plaintext with basic Markdown formatting would be really nice. With "basic" I mean: no text styles, no checkboxes, just the sibling/child structure (and maybe support for notes).

    This way we could do major editing with any text editor on the Mac/PC.

  18. A quick way or button to toggle "hide completed items"

    There is a way to hide completed on the settings menu, I would like a faster way to toggle this, perhaps a icon on the "Outline" pop-out button bar. When I use Outline as a shopping list I toggle between show completed and hide depending on whether I am building a list or in the store.

  19. Please let me pay you more money!!

    I love the app and I would pay for a new version with just a few of the suggested ideas. If you make OutlinerPlus with a couple of the key requests, and if it could import existing outlines, I'd be HAPPY to pay you again!! (I just want attachable pics and a note field that's full width.) Thanks for an already great app!!!!!

  20. Write a companion app for Apple Watch

    This would fill a huge void in the Apple Watch app store. There are no OPML-savvy apps, and in fact no decent list processors at all: Evernote, Things, Omnifocus, Todoloo, Clear… don't qualify.
