due date and time
ability to add due date and time for an item when it is marked as task

I think due dates could be implemented as part of tags as described in the "#Tag and @tag filtering within the text" feature request. It would be great if it were implemented with markdown tags similar to as used in "taskpaper" (see https://guide.taskpaper.com/reference/dates/) or "markdo" (see https://benjaminoakes.github.io/markdo/ ). Perhaps support tags such as: @due(2016-03-18 7pm) , @start(2016-01-01) , @repeat(weekly), @reminder(2016-01-01) , ideally using ISO 8601 date format.
CarbonFin could someday incorporate features like telling you which tasks are overdue, telling you which tasks are coming up soon, support both start date and due date, support repeating tasks, and notifications/reminders/calendar integration.

True that an outline can easily be used for project management. But I would instead put that in another app that uses an outline as its core, and keep Outliner Pro as a raw outline editor (where each item can be anything, not necessarily something that has to be done).

Disagree. Remember, every feature added increases complexity. iOS is great for keeping apps small and focused. It's easy to copy a task to a dedicated reminder app if that's what it needs. That's what I do. When it's done, you delete it from the task app and then delete it from the project list in Outliner. No one app is going to do each kind of personal information item in your life as well as a collection of apps will.

I agree and synchronization with calendar / reminders would be very useful addon to this

I agree, along with a reminder or notification (iphone) related to the due date/time.
