Ability to create folders of outlines
I now have many outlines. It would be good to put them in folders so that I do not have to manage a long list :).

Offer folders
so you can file your outlines by topic (I'd want to keep it within Outliner). I create workshops and do all my outlines here first. Been using this for at least 10 years and have found it the best (better than toodledo!). I have recommended it to my students as well (for writing papers).

Ability to "Send" an item or multiple "checked" items to a top or tagged item to appear under.
CarbonFin is the closest outliner I have found that compares to the wonderful classic Grandview outliner program. (Grandview was sold decades ago to Symantec (the security company) who promptly abandoned it (sigh). As a television writer I used Grandview all the time to outline my scripts. One feature it had was the ability to "Send" an item to appear indented under another item with just a keyboard shortcut. Grandview had many other features, but I'd settle for Carbonfin having this feature, Here's a link to a Google book summary of Grandview's features: https://books.google.com/books?id=Eq0wALnyM_MC&q=%22grandview%22+%22friend%22+outliner&pg=PA34#v=snippet&q=%22grandview%22%20%22friend%22%20outliner&f=false

Clean up after search
Every time I search the outline is left with bunches of expanded items and I have to go through and close them all manually. Is that going to be fixed any time soon?

SECURITY
What will happen to my outlines should you decide to discontinue product or (Heaven forbid) die? Fabulous product. I use it more than any other. 😎

Carbonfin Business Model
I’ve been using CarbonFin for at least 12 years. It offers unlimited levels of hierarchy while remaining light, intuitive, and durable. It synchronizes my data among all my IOS and Windows devices through the company’s servers for free. No other outliners offer the above. But I am frankly concerned about it’s business model. How does the company support itself? Is it bound to shut down its servers for lack of funds? Will it keep on supporting new IOS versions?

Permit order of outlines on desktop to be rearranged.
I would like to be able to control the order of the outlines on my desktop. I do not currently see a way to do so.

Hide completed items not just delete them
I’d like to be able to hide (automatically after a preset delay) completed items, not delete them. So I have the option to unhide them when I want to look at completed work.

Ability to use tags across outlines and their branches and elements
Tags would be more useful if any element can be tagged.

consider supporting other cloud storage besides Dropbox & OneDrive
I use a number of machines and have loved the ability to directly edit OPML files in a Dropbox folder on Linux or MacOS, and have them synced automagically with Outliner on my iOS devices. But Dropbox is becoming much less friendly; now I'm limited to only three devices, unless I pay a high price for a premium account. Any chance you could support syncing via Box, Mega, Google Drive, etc? Something Linux-friendly would be ideal.

Make the indents/outdents just a little bit more
When I look down an outline there doesn’t seem to be enough separation between levels. It just looks like one long list.

Confirmation before deleting an outline
Stupidly, I swiped left to remove the list of outlines from the screen. Instead of the list of outlines going away, I deleted a file because that's the default swipe left action. Can I have a "you are an idiot" warning message to confirm that I actually want to delete the outline please.

Variable line count for note preview
At the moment, I have the choice of 1 line preview or seeing the whole note. Many of my notes are very long. It would be easier if I could have options for 1-line, 2 line or 3 line previews. This lets me see enough of the note to get the context without losing most of the screen when the note is long.

Alow for Outliner to include pictures.
Outliner would be much more useful if I could add or link pictures to an outline or element within Outliner.

Archive completed tasks instead of delete
A way to archive or permanently hide completed tasks without fully deleting them. So that this weeks completed tasks can be seen, but not all completed tasks, from previous weeks But that all completed tasks are not loss and can be shown for a longer over view of completed weeks. IE, tasks are archived instead of deleted, and archive tasks can be shown separately to just showing completed tasks.

Re-arranging items in web outliner version.
In the online version, it appears that grabbing the three lines next to an item and attempting to drag to another position in the outline does not work. Am I doing this wrong?

Lock parent pies to Outline
Lock a parent title and pie in place on an outline, so that when all completed sibling tasks in it a hidden or deleted, parent remains for next weeks tasks to be added.
I know you can use the return and make a non-task, but then all children and siblings are also created as non tasks and is a pain.
