Due dates would be nice, as well as an iOS icon badge.

Due dates would be amazing. Not since Shadow Plan for the palm os has a program been so close to having those attributes. Being able to have dates with list items would open the program up to so many occupation needs. I was in construction and it would have been great for that. Now in Real Estate, having the ability to use a templete with due dates for contract compliance following the Escrow process Wow you have no idea how usefull it could be. So please consider these ideas. Thanks so much!

Just don’t make them a required field or step (to even leave blank). Perhaps as an setting that you can turn on/off. I appreciate Carbon Fin’s simple interface to manage lists. I wouldn’t want to see it become heavy to use from feature bloat.

I think due dates could be implemented as part of tags as described in the "#Tag and @tag filtering within the text" feature request. It would be great if it were implemented with markdown tags similar to as used in "taskpaper" (see https://guide.taskpaper.com/reference/dates/) or "markdo" (see https://benjaminoakes.github.io/markdo/ ). Perhaps support tags such as: @due(2016-03-18 7pm) , @start(2016-01-01) , @repeat(weekly), @reminder(2016-01-01) , ideally using ISO 8601 date format.
CarbonFin could someday incorporate features like telling you which tasks are overdue, telling you which tasks are coming up soon, support both start date and due date, support repeating tasks, and notifications/reminders/calendar integration.

Please add ability to add due date for tasks. Also, it would be good to get notified when the task is due (pop up, email, text etc.)
