TextExpander was supported in a much earlier version. However, it had to be removed at one point due to iOS incompatibility. By the time TextExpander was compatible again, the OS had native support for simple text replacement, so it was never added back. See Settings > General > Keyboard.

I have to agree with this request. The native support in iOS isn't nearly as powerful as what text expander can provide.
