More user control over fonts and colors
It would be very useful to allow users of Outliner to pick their own font sizes for entering information. The ability to make different line entries different colors would also be great.

Font size should be bigger with color that easy to read. Please consider now elder society.

Well, this has been hashed over for 4 years and the app hasn’t changed. I really want color. Font adjustment would be nice. People with ADD (me) find things easier with pictures & colors. A lot of plain text on a page is hard to mentally sort out.

iOS. Ability to assign a set of priority colours to tasks, so that priority tasks can easily be identifed within the outline.

I disagree & agree with this. I really like Outliner due to it's simplicity and not over abundance of theme/font customizations which can slow down a UI. However, if done simply, I think it could be helpful. Similar to how you can color/tag files on a Mac. I think a similar concept would work here. This way to could highlight important info. Yes, the background behind the individual outline entry could be a pastel color so as not to interfere with the lettering (be too dark to obscure the text). Additionally, allowing font color change may also help with prioritization of particular outline entries (tasks in a to-do list, for example)

One of the things that I treasure in Carbon Fin Outliner is the simplicity. There are many outliners that have fonts and colors and pictures and music and videos. And we all have programs for aesthetics and presentation. But I use CF Outliner for outlining.

I agree. Font selection and coloring entries can be very useful. Although an outline can help with organizing items rather than using coloring, there are times when coloring can be used to help keep track of important items that cross node (or level) boundaries. I'm using Outliner to keep important notes organized by journal article for my disseration. Coloring different items can help me not lose track of items by adding an additional dimension to the tree structure of an outline.

I would like to create a template that I can set the color, font type and size for each level in the outline. E.G. Level 1 is Arial bold, size 14, Black. Level 2 is Arial bold, size 12, Blue. etc..

Or if this idea is implemented, give the option to work in plain text, or in formatted text.

I disagree.
I would much, much rather keep Outliner to enter raw data and information, and then have the ability to export it to Word document with a hierarchical bullet point list style. There, in Word, I could play with the styles to make my data look as nice as I want. -

I agree that having font colors would be great. I use outlines when I''m preaching, It would be very helpful to highlight for emphasis.

Assigning colors to different levels would make lists much easier to use. And, I think it's a great app!

Bold is what I look for in my apps. For instance when writing books - "BOLD." When talking.

Yes, it would be great if the top more levels could be a larger font or bold and be able to adjust the lower levels with colors or font choices.

I'd be happy with a small variety of font colors in order to highlight certain points

Allow the user to highlight entries in the outline. This way important items in the outline can be highlighted.
