Shake to undo a check marked item
Have you ever checked an item and then noticed you "fat fingered" it and checked the wrong item. It would be cool to shake the phone to undo the last checked item.

Give multi directional capability to iPad
I can't move on item up or down once I tap the multidirectional 'button'. It works in iPhone but not on iPad.

Add Airdrop file transfer
Introduce airdrop as a method for sending a file. I want to transfer outlines to somebody without sending it over the web via email because I may not have connectivity

Have a red dot placed on all items (on its arrow) that have items under them.
The red dot would act as as alert.

Interface Revisions
Simplifying/streamlining some interface elements would be nice. Like the icons for individual outlines on the "Home" page. And the disclosure triangles and "diamond bullets" for each list item. These get kind of busy and crowded, especially if an item is also a task with a check box.

I want to se nuber of (top level) items per outline in the overview.

Do I even have an item in my buckey list?I want to be able to see this from the overview in ”outlines” view.

allow item formats
I have used CarbonFin for data entry on an iPad since Numbers is so primitive. For data entry, it would be helpful to be able to specify for each item the initial keyboard mode for adding text to it: numeric or alphabetic, and lower case, capital, or locked upper case, analogous to the way a spreadsheet cell can be formatted as text or numeric.

hierarchical zoom
Outliner allows hierarchical zooming, i.e. zooming into a zoomed item. But there is no stepwise way back. If you close an item you get to the top level instead of the level containing the zoomed item.

Select item and a Popup menu appears with top items - select top item that you want to move the item to appear under.
This would make moving items in big outline easier to move —rather than only using the drag and drop feature. Just select “the top” item you want any item to appear as a sub item and then it’s moved there.
BTW love your app!

Make the menu bar configurable
I realize that different people use the app in different ways. For me, Copy and Paste are basic so it’s a nuisance to have to access them through the ... menu. So how about a preference pane to let the user select which buttons to include in the top menu, up to the available space (so the user would rank them in order of priority). In full screen mode I see a lot of empty space on that menu line. Any button bumped by limited space would be switched to the ... menu.

Re-arranging items in web outliner version.
In the online version, it appears that grabbing the three lines next to an item and attempting to drag to another position in the outline does not work. Am I doing this wrong?

Variable line count for note preview
At the moment, I have the choice of 1 line preview or seeing the whole note. Many of my notes are very long. It would be easier if I could have options for 1-line, 2 line or 3 line previews. This lets me see enough of the note to get the context without losing most of the screen when the note is long.

consider supporting other cloud storage besides Dropbox & OneDrive
I use a number of machines and have loved the ability to directly edit OPML files in a Dropbox folder on Linux or MacOS, and have them synced automagically with Outliner on my iOS devices. But Dropbox is becoming much less friendly; now I'm limited to only three devices, unless I pay a high price for a premium account. Any chance you could support syncing via Box, Mega, Google Drive, etc? Something Linux-friendly would be ideal.
