Support Emacs Outline form for Import *AND* Export
Emacs Outline form is a simple outline form that can be worked with in any text editor. Therefore, supporting it for import/export would automatically make Carbonfin's Outliner more useful to users across a wider range of platforms without the need to port Outliner to those platforms. Emacs Outline form is described here: http://www.gnu.org/software/emacs/manual/html_node/emacs/Outline-Format.html#Outline-Format

Sync with Onenote
I want to use Outliner in Windows more easily than the web.
Of course, the Windows version is the best.3 votes -
Automatic backup within the app.
Data loss is one of my biggest fears. I would love to see the app have an automatic backup capability to include having the choice of how many backups to maintain. (for example 1-5 backups). I would be willing to pay an in-app purchase for this capability on the iPad. Thanks

Ability to lock Move Mode on.
I use Carbon Fin as a To-Do list. The ability to change the order/priority of items by dragging/moving them is essential. Having to toggle Move Mode on & off to accomplish this key functionality is inefficient/annoying.

Provide a RESTful interface
If you offer a RESTful API, the community could extend this great tool and make it more universal.
It would not take a significant lift on your end to offer this. Please consider.

Allow us to edit the number format.
I would prefer the following format: I.1.A.i.a. etc vs the current legal format.

After editing note in existing list
After editing note in existing outline ensure 'Done' puts you back in same position/item to which note was attached. At present it seems you are returned to a different part of the outline requiring scrolling back to said item and before proceeding to next item in list - assuming you are examining outline in a linear way.
Otherwise, love the app which I've used for a few years now.

restore
I would like to have a function to restore the possibility of accidental deletion or a message to confirm once deleted.

Carbon Fin in the dock
I just put Carbon Fin in the dock on my Mac with this AppleScript:
tell application Safari
open location https://cfoutliner.appspot.com
activate
end tell(Put quotation marks around Safari and around the location address above. They don't show properly when I place them in this message.)
Save as a script, paste the Carbon Fin logo over the tiny generic logo in the upper left hand corner of the "get info" box for the saved script and then drag it into the dock.

Scroll Up and Scroll Down
It takes time to scroll down to the last item in a list or the first. Could we have a button for doing these functions?

add text to voice to the application
I'm an active user of your outliner and also a pilot. I have created checklists for use in various stages of flight. If I could "hear" the line I'm suppose to do next then I could keep my head up and accomplish the task without distraction of looking at the item. When the task is completed, then I would like to say "CHECK" and go to the next line. This application should be first developed for an iPad or iPhone as most flight applications use this platform and it needs to be independent of internet during flight.

Lock parent pies to Outline
Lock a parent title and pie in place on an outline, so that when all completed sibling tasks in it a hidden or deleted, parent remains for next weeks tasks to be added.
I know you can use the return and make a non-task, but then all children and siblings are also created as non tasks and is a pain.

Confirmation before deleting an outline
Stupidly, I swiped left to remove the list of outlines from the screen. Instead of the list of outlines going away, I deleted a file because that's the default swipe left action. Can I have a "you are an idiot" warning message to confirm that I actually want to delete the outline please.

Carbonfin Business Model
I’ve been using CarbonFin for at least 12 years. It offers unlimited levels of hierarchy while remaining light, intuitive, and durable. It synchronizes my data among all my IOS and Windows devices through the company’s servers for free. No other outliners offer the above. But I am frankly concerned about it’s business model. How does the company support itself? Is it bound to shut down its servers for lack of funds? Will it keep on supporting new IOS versions?

SECURITY
What will happen to my outlines should you decide to discontinue product or (Heaven forbid) die? Fabulous product. I use it more than any other. 😎
